The Head of State was greeted with a choral welcoming by the Angra Pequena Senior Secondary School Choir at the Old Power Station in Lüderitz today, at the occasion of the ||Kharas Regional Green Hydrogen Energy Project Update Session hosted by the Presidency and the ||Kharas Regional Council. The Update Session hosted presenters that included; His Excellency the President of Namibia Dr. Hage G. Geingob, Governor of the ||Kharas Region Hon. Aletha Fredericks, Chairperson of Namibia’s Green Hydrogen Council and Director General of the National Planning Commission Hon. Obeth Kandjoze [M.P.], Minister of Justice, Hon. Yvonne Dausab [M.P.], Presidential Economic Advisor and Namibia’s Green Hydrogen Commissioner Mr. James Mnyupe and our very own Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Lüderitz Town Council Mr. Otto Shipanga. The Update Session concluded that, the impending contractual agreement to be entered into between the Republic of Namibia and HYPHEN in the coming months, will create multiple opportunities for the entire Nation and more especially for the Lüderitz and Aus communities. All are encouraged to play a part in unlocking the various opportunities available within the value chain of the Green Hydrogen Energy Project. The Head of State concluded his working day with a Town Hall Meeting, where he engaged the community on matters concerning them directly, before departing back to the capital city.
