LTC, KRC AND LWDC STRIKES PERFECT BALANCE

The creation of synergies in pursuit of preparing the town and country to host the impending industrial and economic boom were high on the agenda today as the Chairperson of the Lüderitz Town Council, His Worship, the Mayor Hon. Cllr. Phillippus A. Balhao accompanied by Councilor’s and Staff had an engagement at the Old Power Station with the Lüderitz Waterfront Development Company under the tutelage of the Chairperson of the Board of Director’s Dr. Angel Tordesillas and its Chief Executive Officer Mr. Fluksman Samuehl, joining the briefing session was the ||Kharas Regional Council’s Constituency Councilor Hon. Suzan Ndjaleka. The parties agreed that, with Lüderitz becoming the epic Centre of growth; both institutions need to work together to achieve a common goal and purpose of realizing an industrialized country. The Old Power Station having been donated to the waterfront development company by the Council, remains an asset to community and country, as it sustains relevance since its establishment more than a hundred years ago. The waterfront development company, being one of the Namibian success stories hosted the Namibian Sports Awards in 2023 with plans to host the Miss Namibia beauty Pageant in 2024, informed the council about their plans to inaugurate Africa’s largest Maritime Museum. The parties agreed to further strengthen their business relations through entering into a Memorandum of Understanding for the purpose of cementing their already cordial bond.
