The African proverb made popular by the Igbo and Yoruba tribes from Nigeria, that sets the narrative that, “it takes a village to raise a child” rings true in the context; where corporate citizens within Lüderitz have taken a position to support the Mayoral office and by extension the community. Tradeport Namibia has donated school stationery to benefit 10 students at various schools as part of the Mayoral Stationery Drive Campaign, representing the entity were Mrs. Suzette Weyers and Ms. Lea Apulile flanking the Chairperson of the Management Committee Hon. Cllr. Anna-Marie Hartzenberg and the First Servant, His Worship, the Mayor Hon. Cllr. Phillippus A. Balhao during their handing-over ceremony at the Lüderitz Town Council Head Office.
