TOTALENERGIES COMMITTED TO LÜDERITZ

Posted: 25 Oct 2023

The mantra that, two cords are better than one was the driving force that saw TotalEnergies Namibia partnering with the Lüderitz Town Council in our waste management efforts. The Council reached out to the oil giant for assistance during the recently concluded National Clean-Up Campaign held on the 16 September 2023, in our pursuit of ensuring every locality within town is supplied with resources that will curb pollution and littering. The commitment came in the form of one nine cubic meter skip and ten green street pole waste bins, that will be placed at strategic localities within town in complimenting Council’s efforts of maintaining a clean and hygienic environment. The hand over was officiated by The Chairperson of the Council’s Management Committee Hon. Cllr. P. Balhao and Management Committee Member Hon. Cllr. A. Hartzenberg supported by the Acting Chief Executive Officer Mr. O. Shipanga and Council’s Environmental Health Practitioner Ms. K. Nakathingo, the delegation of TotalEnergies Namibia were Mr. Saviour Ufor, Mr. Kenneth Omireh and Ms. Ruth Nuujoma.
