The exchange of knowledge, technicalities and skills transfer in the focus areas of economic development, infrastructure and technical services, tourism promotion, financial and fleet management inclusive of corporate governance and health and wellness are some of the objectives of the town Twinning Agreement between the Lüderitz Town Council and the Gochas Village Council. Gochas is a village in the Hardap Region of Namibia, considered as one of the smallest in Namibia is located 110 kilometer’s southeast of Mariental on the way to the Mata Mata border post to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. The Chairpersons of the Lüderitz Town Council represented by His Worship, the Mayor Hon. Cllr. Phillippus Balhao and Her Worship, the Mayor of Gochas Hon. Cllr. Angelika Vries penned a five (5) year relationship on the 28 November 2023 in Lüderitz in the presence and support of Councilor’s and Administration from both Council’s.
