The envisaged plant would use revolutionary &#8220;Thermal Desorption&#8221; which has been independently tested and proven to reduce approximately 70% less carbon emissions.  The appointment of the National Environmental Health Consultants CC by WESCO to oversee the screening, scoping, public consultations and appraisal in pursuit of their environmental clearance was signed on the 19th August 2025 in L\u00fcderitz, witnessed by the First Servant, His Worship, the Mayor Hon. Cllr. Phillippus A. Balhao, the Acting Chief Executive Officer Mr. Otto K. Shipanga, the Managing Director of WESCO Mr. George Fransman and the Chief Executive Officer of the National Environmental Health Consultants CC Mr.  Johan Cornelissen.
