MASS TURNOUT AT INFO SHARING SESSION

Namibia is poised to become a regional and global leader in the renewable energy space with the envisaged industrial scaled Green Hydrogen production mooted by the Government of the Republic of Namibia in partnership with Hyphen Hydrogen Energy. The production facility will be located in the ||Kharas Region in the town of Lüderitz with an anticipated 15 000 labor force for the construction period, earmarked to start during 2028. The industry will require new injections of skills, due to its shortage within the Technical and Vocational Education sector and the Green Hydrogen Scholarship is meant to up and re-skill youth for uptake during the pre and post construction period. The !Nami #Nus Constituency Councilor Hon. Cllr. Suzan Ndjaleka accompanied by the town’s Deputy Mayor, Her Worship Hon. Cllr. Josephine Heita and members from both SASSCAL and NSFAF addressed the eager youth in Lüderitz on the 09 July 2025. The youth are encouraged to participate and enroll to enable them to curb unemployment and poverty within the community through gainful employment and in so doing contribute to economic and industrial advancement of the region and country.
