The Lüderitz Town Council in conjunction with the GIZ Namibia through the Integrated Urban Development in Lüderitz and Aus (ILA), are hosting a two-day workshop on the development of a Five Year Strategic Plan for the town of Lüderitz and the Aus Settlement. Council is engaged in advancing plans to make Lüderitz an integral part to Namibia’s strategy for the enhancement of plans to support industries such as oil, gas and green hydrogen production. The Strategic Planning Workshop is poised to gather directional inputs from various Stakeholder’s representing OMA’s and the Private Sector in attendance for inclusion into the final draft policy framework and document. The Strategic Planning Workshop will deliberate on key thematic aspects and align these within the fold of the National Development Goals whilst remaining cognizant of the needs and aspirations of its constituents, the Workshop concludes on the 23rd October 2025, with the Final Draft Strategic Plan anticipated to be ready by the end of February 2026.
