
The Indonesian Embassy hosted the Business Forum themed “Connecting Indonesia-Namibia/NCCI Businesses: Partnership for Sustainable Growth” at the Nest Hotel on the 18 November 2025. The Business Forum was held under the chairmanship of the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Namibia and Angola His Excellency Mirza Nurhidayat, accompanied by representatives of Indonesian State-Owned Companies; in the form of PT Pertamina Trans Continental, a maritime service provider and JAPFA Comfeed, an animal aquaculture company. The Business Forum was hosted in partnership with the Lüderitz chapter of the Namibia of Chambers of Commerce and Industry and facilitated by the Lüderitz Town Council, the event produced a fully packed auditorium in attendance where captains of industries, development partners, Non-Governmental Organizations, Community Based Organizations and Invited Guest’s’ participated actively during the engagements. H.E. Mirza Nurhidayat during his keynote address indicated that, both countries share the vision of economic growth culminating into bilateral trade between the two countries having increased to two hundred and forty percent [240%] over the past three years since 2023, indicating a rising appetite for country to country trade facilitation. The Ambassador further indicated that the relationship between the two countries is moving in the right direction, and that Indonesia’s focus on Lüderitz due to its rich maritime history, expanding port/s and the town being the convergent point of logistics, fisheries and future energy projects, makes Lüderitz the ideal partner for Indonesia’s ambitions. The Business Forum included two-sets of Panel Discussions targeting trade facilitation between the two countries enterprises and concluded today.
