The need to accord nutritious vitamins to scholars and provide semi-employment through the sale of retained produce was the driving force behind the establishment of Greenhouses at both the Angra Pequena Senior Secondary School and the Lüderitz Secondary School. This initiative was established in line with the Namibian Zero Hunger Strategy, aligned to the Sustainable Development Goals, that of; ending hunger, achieving food security and improving nutrition and the promotion of sustainable agriculture. The two Greenhouses were established under the Mayoral tenure of Hon. Cllr. Benjamin Mckay with the financial assistance of the First National Bank Foundation and technical assistance of Kelp Blue and will be inaugurated once construction has been completed.
