The curbing of an escalation and the sensitization of the negative impacts of crime is the objective, giving rise to the envisaged launch of the community outreach program on street kids, loitering, gender-based violence, drugs and alcohol abuse slated for Lüderitz dated the 18 November 2023 at the Waterfront by the Namibian Police. The Lüderitz Police Station’s Station Commander Chief Inspector M. A. Amadhila briefed His Worship, the Mayor Hon. Cllr. Phillippus Balhao and Council on their plans for the festive season. The community is encouraged to get involved in community policing initiatives and report crime to the Namibian Police to ensure a safe and peaceful society.
