GRASSROOT INPUT SOUGHT FOR NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN

Posted: 7 Feb 2024

The regression encountered during the implementation of the National Development Plan 5, largely due to a lack of effective monitoring and evaluation; requires doubled efforts during the implementation of Namibia’s National Development Plan 6 [NDP] in order to achieve the vision as set out in Vision 2030. The National Planning Commission [NPC] has started engaging constituencies as part of their national pre-consultative strategy to receive contributions from the grassroots level, for inputs in the designing of the envisaged NDP 6; the current NDP5 expires in 2025. The NPC is currently within the !Nami #Nus Constituency for consultations and paid the Town Council a working visit on the 07 February 2024, where they were presented with the challenges and opportunities that would enable for the full industrialization of the town.
