A safe shelter for the destitute, vulnerable and malnourished community members contributes to a well-balanced socio-economy; furtherance to making them feel as a part of the community whilst empowering them with the necessary social skills to manage their lives and contribute to the development and advancement of society. The First Servant His Worship, the Mayor Hon. Cllr. Phillippus Balhao on the 28 June 2024 officially inaugurated the Faith Valley Christian Centre and the SIMCHA Family Restoration Centre at the Lagoon in Lüderitz. This Centre provides a variety of social development programs, such as (but not limited to) Feed-A-Child, Bible and Music School, Caregiving, Afternoon Classes, Leadership Development and Family Restoration, established in 2020 with the vision of restoring the dream of God in the hearts of families is focused on educating, motivating and activation faith-based lifestyles in the Lüderitz community.
